Alice served as Project Architect while at ELS for this multi-use Arts Center. The program adapted and reused a seismically retrofitted and restored brick 1929 Firehouse No. 1 into an Art Gallery. The new complex includes a new 230-seat flexible Studio Theater, Dressing and Green Rooms, Educational Classrooms, Grand Lobby and Administrative Offices. The project is designed with sustainable strategies exceeding LEED silver equivalent rating within the constraints of the downtown site. The internally lit iconic glass light towers on the downtown and park sides were a result of collaboration among the glass artist, lighting designer, and the vision of the architect. Completed in 2010, located in Pleasanton.
